| In order for us to get a clear picture of where we are going, we need to look back and see how it all started. In 1997 Carolina Forest was just that – a forest! Founding pastor Mac Lake was inspired by the words in Nehemiah, “Now the city was large and spacious, there were few people in it, and the houses had not yet been built.” So a small group of people who believed in starting a new kind of church for a new kind of community, started planning and praying for Carolina Forest Community Church. In September of 1997 CFCC held its first public celebration service at Carolina Forest Elementary School with over 300 people in attendance.
The vision of CFCC is to reach and grow people across the street and around the world. God put us here to serve this community. Today, Carolina Forest is growing faster than ever and is projected to have over 60,000 people residing in this amazing community. CFCC is centrally located in the heart of Carolina Forest, and now with the opening of Carolina Bays Parkway, we are within minutes to thousands more that reside along the Grand Strand.
Each time CFCC has added a new ministry time, more adults, students and children have filled the seats. If our growth trends continue, we can conservatively estimate that in 10 years we could be serving over 6,000 people each week on our current campus. This can only happen if we cooperate with the Holy Spirit and work together to make room for them – and that is where BLUEPRINTS comes in.
