three basic truths
Kids World is our Sunday morning program for kindergarten through 5th graders. After checking in before service, kids start out in their grade level class and then go to the Large Group room for games, videos, dancing, and a creatively presented Bible story that applies directly to their lives. Fun is the language of a child and we want to create an environment where kids can’t wait to come back! We want kids to have so much fun that Sunday becomes the best day of the week!
We use an interactive curriculum, called 252 Basics. It is organized around key Bible stories that help kids discover Jesus and reflect His character to the world around them. And to make it easy to understand, everything is unpacked through the weekly Bottom Line—a short phrase that is easy to understand and remember as they go throughout their week.
Each week we invite kids into God’s story, to show them the character of God, all while helping them internalize these 3 Basic Truths:
I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Safety is our utmost priority
We recognize that in today’s culture, a parent’s first concern when leaving their child is that they are going to be safe. This is very important to us as well and we do all that we can to ensure the safety of every child. This starts with our volunteer teams. It is our policy that every volunteer who works with children under the age of 18 has a background check, initial interview, and reference checks. They also complete Ministry Safe sexual abuse awareness training.
During both services, we have a trained safety team watching over the entire facility inside and out. We have multiple team members keeping a close eye on all areas of children’s programming. We ask that only parents and authorized personnel enter the children’s hallways during the services.
We also have an electronic check-in system that ensures each child is picked up by the authorized person who dropped them off. The check-in desks open 15 minutes prior to each service. If you are joining us for the first time, there is a short informational form that will need to be filled out so that we can add your family to our check-in system.
