“Kids World Jr. is much more than simply childcare”
three basic truths
Kids World Junior is our Sunday morning preschool program. We have classes for children from birth through 5 years old that meet each Sunday during our 9:00am and 10:30am worship services. While we know that this is a safe and fun place for parents to drop their kids off so they are able to worship and engage in the adult worship services, Kids World Jr. is much more than simply childcare! By the time these kids put on their backpacks for their first day of kindergarten, it’s our goal to make sure they know 3 things. The first is that God created them, secondly that God loves them, and finally that Jesus wants to be their friend forever. They will hear these three truths in many different creative ways throughout their preschool years.
safety is our utmost priority
We recognize that in today’s culture, a parent’s first concern when leaving their child is that they are going to be safe. This is so important to us as well and we do all that we can to ensure the safety of every child. This starts with our volunteer teams. It is our policy that every volunteer who works with children under the age of 18 has a background check, initial interview, and reference checks. They also must complete Ministry Safe sexual abuse awareness training.
During both services, we have a trained safety team watching over the entire facility inside and out. We have multiple team members keeping a close eye on all areas of children’s programming. We ask that only parents and authorized personnel enter the children’s hallways during the services.
We also have an electronic check-in system that ensures each child is picked up by the authorized person who dropped them off. The check-in desks open 15 minutes prior to each service. If you are joining us for the first time, there is a short informational form that will need to be filled out so that we can add your family to our check-in system. family lounge
For those with newborns or children who are not ready to let mom and dad go, we have our Family Lounge. This comfortable room is for mom’s or dad’s to stay with their child while they can still experience the service through a live feed. This room is located in the Kids World Jr. hallway. Just ask any greeter or children’s ministry volunteer and they will take you there.
